My husband and I are considering moving back to house in city since our current tenant just told us she’s not renewing this September. Our current suburb PITI is ~ 3x the PITI of the city house . We moved to suburbs thinking we’d have a baby soon but if we move back to city one of us could quit job completely to be stay at home parent. Just worried about making a mistake by selling a bigger house with fairly low mortgage rate, but if we had a family here we’d both have to continue to work full time.
