Newsflash: Buying vs renting at 24

I’m 24 and in a very fortunate position to be able to buy a house. On one hand, I think it’s a great idea to build equity and just have a place that I can truly call my own. I also hate the idea of my rent money essentially going nowhere, but on the other hand, I’m scared I’ll feel tied down to this one place, and scared that I’ll maybe regret not trying and experiencing living in a more fun area for a bit. Happy to hear any thoughts/advice/personal stories on this
