In the early stages of talking to a family member about a rent to own situation. House is worth 900k and I have 150k to put down. Instead of a traditional sale where I would get a 6.5+% interest rate, we were considering rent to own.Are there any tax considerations with this? Would it be considered gift tax even if the full 900k is eventually paid off?
