I am currently in the process of getting divorced. My soon to be ex and I are on amicable terms and I should walk away being able to put a large down payment on a home (probably 50%), as well as have a nice nest egg. Will I be able to use my spousal maintenance and child support (one minor child), to qualify for a mortgage in Colorado? I should get 3-3.5 years of spousal maintenance. I’m currently a stay at home mom, and don’t have immediate plans to go back to work as we want our daughter to keep as much stability as possible. Thank you for any insight or advice!
