Newsflash: Purchased home with encroachment

To make a long story short I recently purchased a home in Michigan in a subdivision where my neighbors landscaping extends roughly four feet onto my yard in the form of a retaining wall. This wall is around the base of a large pine tree on the neighbors property and curves around the tree and ends on my property. I don’t necessarily want the wall removed as it looks fine however I am concerned about the effects that this encroachment has on my ability to sell the home one day or if I ever want to have it removed? What if the neighbor sells his house and the next owner tries to claim it?Anyone have any ideas?Am I stuck as I didn’t find this out prior to buying the house?
