Newsflash: [California] Do sellers have to tell future buyers of issues found in inspection report?

My home inspector found issues with the roof so I got a licensed roofer and he quoted me 16K to rip off the three layers and replace. The seller is only giving 5K credit for 28K worth of repairs. Still trying to find a way to make this work. Don’t we have the upper hand in the negotiation since the seller will have to go through this whole process again and disclose to future buyers of the issues we found?
