Hello! My husband recently made a cash offer on a house. (We are in Texas, if that matters.) Because my husband is not using a broker, so there is no commission on his side, he intended to pass along his savings to the seller.However, when he told the seller’s agent, she replied that she would be receiving commissions from both my husband and the seller, or she would cancel the scheduled showing (and, by extension, the deal, by not presenting the formal offer to her client).This seems wrong. Could someone please tell me if this was a violation of TREC?Thank you!
