Newsflash: NJ – how clean should the unit be for a new tenant?

My old tenants moved out, and I have the carpets professionally cleaned, as well as a cleaning person come through. I walked through the property multiple times with the new tenant before they actually moved in, post cleaning. Now they’ve contacted me, complaining that things were dirty like sticky microwave buttons. They feel the carpet was dirty too. A few other things.Nothing was mentioned during our walk through and this is my first time encountering this kind of complaint.I see plenty of legal mentions of tenants leaving the place broom clean, but what about landlords for a new tenant.
