Newsflash: Question about zoning in California

I’m looking at large acreage properties under $100K. Some are zoned TPZ (timber production). From my research it’s clear that you have to let the timber grow for ten years, that you can build on a small part of the land and change the zoning to residential for your house. But I don’t understand what happens at ten years. Are you expected to sell the timber? I want to buy land to preserve and enjoy not sell trees, is this zoning a good way to go for that?Sorry if this question is misplaced in this sub. None of the websites I read about this zoning say anything about if you want to keep the trees indefinitely.
