Newsflash: Selling a house when you’re only on the title

My husband and I are both on the title of the house. He is the only one on the mortgage. If we separate and sell the house, are we both equally responsible for everything like closing costs? If we sell for less than our mortgage, are we both equally responsible to cover the difference? Thanks for any help!
