Newsflash: Buying a house where a murder took place (TX)

So we’re looking at an old house that is priced about 10-15% below comps in the neighborhood. Love the house, but someone was murdered in it (beaten/stabbed by a contractor’s employee) over 30 years ago. Doesn’t bother us because it happened so long ago, but I’m wondering if we should steer clear due to potential resale difficulties. How much of a stigma is this, really, and does the stigma fade with time?
