Newsflash: Home-buying grants or other monetary resources for disabled home buyers?

I’m legally blind and interested in purchasing my first home (in Oregon). I am by no means destitute (I make about 60k/year and have about $100k in non-retirement savings), but the houses where I want to live seem out of my price range (starting at $450-550k, going up to $750k+). There are cheaper locations, but those don’t offer the infrastructure I need with my disability (public transit, stores within walking distance, etc.).I was wondering if there were any government or private organization grants/programs to assist disabled people with buying a home? I did some initial googling but the stuff that came up seemed to be aimed at helping disabled people get qualified for lower interest rate mortgages if they had bad/no credit (and my credit is excellent). Any advice?
