Pictures of the damage found hereUnder contract on a home where the inspection found a leak under the kitchen sink. Subfloor was wet to the touch and recorded as such in the inspection report. I requested the leak to be fixed and the subfloor to be repaired in my list of fixes to the seller.Am I asking for too much? Should I accept a “fixed trap leak” or should I request that the subfloor be fixed? (personally, how does a leaky trap lead to this without you noticing?)Also, would their homeowners insurance cover this since it’s a leak that was only discovered by the home inspection and not a visual leak that was ignored?
